Currently, I am an associated researcher in Language Technology Laboratory (LTL) at the University of Cambridge and an assistant professor in the Computer Engineering Department at Özyeğin University. I hold a Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering from Boğaziçi University, M.Sc in Computer Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, and  B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from Yeditepe University.

I am a previous member of TABI (Text Analytics and Bioinformatics) Lab at Boğaziçi University. 

My research interests include bioinformatics, natural language processing, and text mining especially in the biomedical and financial domain.
